The plan buttons take you to sign-up with your choice selected. By creating an account you agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. The Free plan is provided without charge and may be changed or withdrawn at any time; upgrading to a paid subscription plan is permanent and can't be reverted to Free. Verse Draft is available to U.S. residents 18 and older, on every plan; one free account per person.

On a plan with AI assistance, it can be disabled or enabled at any time, and it never writes your story. Your words are your own.

Verse Draft is a desktop studio. It’s designed for a large screen, keyboard, and mouse; it isn’t built for phone or tablet interfaces, and signing in on a mobile device will show a quick heads-up that the studio is best used on a computer.

Common questions

Before you decide.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan is the real studio — the same editors, resources, plan board and plot builder — with limits on how much you can create (one universe, one project, twenty resources, and so on) and without the AI features. There's no payment and no time limit: think of it as a trial that doesn't expire. When you outgrow it, upgrade from Settings and everything you've made comes with you. Free accounts are provided without charge and may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and export options are available to you. To see the whole studio first, start with the 60-second overview or the 29-minute guided tour.

Can I go back to Free after choosing a paid plan?

No. Upgrading is one-way: once an account has been on a paid plan it can't switch to the Free plan, and without an active subscription that account and its work stay locked until you subscribe again. You're welcome to start a separate free account with a different email address, but it won't have the first account's work. If you're unsure, export what you want to keep before you cancel.

What if it isn't for me?

Ask, and your first month is refunded. If you subscribe and decide Verse Draft isn't for you, email support@yazorp.com within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full and cancel the subscription. Export anything you want to keep before you write to us. The guarantee covers the first payment on your first subscription, once per person; the details are in the Terms of Service.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep full access through the end of the billing period you've already paid for; nothing ends early. After that the account is locked: you can't open it or anything in it until you subscribe again, and it can't switch to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted right away - your universes, projects, and manuscripts are kept for at least six months after your plan ends, and resubscribing within that time picks up exactly where you left off. If you'd like copies on your own computer, export your manuscripts before your plan ends.

Can I switch plans later?

Anytime, from Settings. Moving up to Studio Assistant takes effect immediately, and you pay only the prorated difference for the rest of the month. Moving down to Core Studio is scheduled for the end of your current billing period, so you keep everything you've already paid for until then.

How are payments handled?

Payments are processed by Stripe, one of the most widely used payment platforms on the web. Your card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and are never stored on Verse Draft's servers. Your subscription renews monthly until you cancel.

Where is Verse Draft available?

Verse Draft is currently offered in the United States, to writers 18 and older. See the Terms of Service for the details.

Can I write on my phone or tablet?

Verse Draft is currently a desktop studio, designed for a large screen, keyboard, and mouse. Signing in on a phone or tablet shows a quick heads-up that the studio is best used on a computer — the writing experience for now is built specifically for the desktop.
